What do the Percentages mean?
VA disability compensation is assigned in percentage increments from 0% to 100%. As a Veteran’s rating increases, additional benefits may be available at the federal (VA), Massachusetts state, and sometimes local level.
Note: Benefits build upon each other — higher ratings generally include benefits from lower ratings.
