Cyclical Inspections beginning August 24, 2026
In accordance with requirements established by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue (DOR), the Board of Assessors will begin conducting cyclical property inspections throughout the Town over the next 5 years beginning Monday, August 24, 2026. These inspections are part of the required cyclical review process and help ensure that the Assessor’s Office maintains accurate and up-to-date property records for valuation purposes.
The inspection will take only a few minutes and will include an exterior inspection, including measurements and photographs, as well as an interior inspection to verify the property’s room count and overall condition.
The Assessors will make every effort to send letters to property owners in advance to notify them when inspectors are scheduled to be working in their area. Please note that inspection schedules may change due to weather, workload, or other unforeseen circumstances.
For safety and verification purposes, all inspectors will carry and clearly display official photo identification. Inspectors will never request entry into a home unless a parent or supervising adult is present.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as the Board of Assessors works to maintain accurate and up-to-date property records for the Town.
