In accordance with Governor Baker’s COVID-19 Order No.13 issued today, Monday, March 23, 2020 the Town of Groton issues the following update relative to non-essential personnel and operations:
- Town Hall, Library and Country Club operations will be closed effective March 24, 2020 through Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at noon.
- Police and Fire will continue their operations as normal.
- DPW operations will be limited over the next two (2) weeks to essential services only.
- The Council on Aging will continue its Meals on Wheels program during this time.
Should you have questions or concerns during this two (2) week period of time, please send an email to townmanager@townofgroton.org. You may leave voicemail messages for all departments during this time. They will be answered just as soon as they can.
We urge all citizens to exercise appropriate shelter in place measures as outlined by Governor Baker in order to reduce the risk of infection. Additional information regarding risk and containment can be found on the CDC website https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html and at www.mass.gov.
