Satellite Emergency Facility FAQ

UMass Memorial Health plans to open a Satellite Emergency Facility (SEF) at 490 Main Street in Groton as part of our efforts to strengthen access to affordable, high-quality health care across Central Massachusetts.

As part of the broader UMass Memorial system, this facility will provide the same level of adult and pediatric emergency services as a traditional emergency department (ED), including a helipad for emergency transport by helicopter, beds for emergency care or observation, and certain imaging services.
