To All Groton Residents and Organizations,
On behalf of Groton’s appointed and elected officials, we wish you a happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year. We are all grateful for the ability to live and work with you in our beautiful town. We especially appreciate the many hours of volunteer labor, and the high level of civic engagement that our residents contribute to creating the community of Groton.
During this holiday season, we want to make you aware of some of the Gift Funds that exist to support different needs in the Town of Groton. The Community Children’s Fund helps families in need provide holiday gifts and school supplies for their children. The 250th Celebration Fund will support Groton’s commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the founding of our country. The Fire Department Gift Fund and The Council on Aging Gift Fund are used to provide ‘extras’ beyond what the operating budget covers. The Trails Committee Gift Fund pays for equipment and supplies used by the all-volunteer Trails Committee that creates and maintains Groton’s extensive trails network. If you are in a position to donate, tax-deductible contributions to any of these funds would be gratefully received.

Throughout its history, the generosity of its residents has allowed Groton to build a solid reputation of taking care of its residents and its land and providing high quality public service. We thank you for considering a contribution to continue this tradition.
