TOWN OF GROTON – COVID-19 MASK MANDATE UPDATE
The Groton Board of Health at their regularly scheduled meeting held on Monday, February 7, 2022 voted unanimously to lift the current mask mandate effective Friday, February 11, 2022 and instead recommend that all citizens wear masks when in indoor public spaces. This recommendation does not apply to individuals prevented from wearing a face covering by a medical condition or disability.
With the Omicron Variant surge infection rates across the Commonwealth and in Groton, particularly trending downward over the past couple of weeks, the Board of Health urges all citizens to remain diligent. The mask mandate will remain in effect when in all town owned buildings.
Sincerely,
Robert Fleisher, Chair
Groton Board of Health
