From August 17-21, 2021, EPA will be conducting sampling and on-site sample analysis using the EPA Mobile Lab. During sampling, residents should expect to see personnel and equipment working on or around the Site. Normal working hours will be between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Workers at the Site will be wearing white Tyvek Personal Protection Equipment because of their direct contact with potentially contaminated materials. Based on the results of the sampling, EPA will work with the Town of Groton and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection to determine if further action to address contamination is recommended. Additionally, results of the investigation will be shared with the Town of Groton, the State and any property owners once the data is received and verified.
