In the last December edition of the Groton Herald, the age for mandatory licensing was listed as 6 years of age. The correct adage for mandatory licensing is 6 months. A current rabies vaccination is also required.
Dog licensing for 2021 begins on January 4th. Town Hall is shut down for in-person traffic until January 11 (please visit www.grotonma.gov for any updates). Dog licensing may be done by mail, by Town Hall drop box or at https://unipaygold.unibank.com/customerinfo.aspx. Please provide a copy of a current rabies certificate if your dog is new to Groton or has been vaccinated in 2020. If registering your dog online, certificates may be emailed to townclerk@grotonma.gov.
