For the safety of our customers and for the Groton Woman’s Club members who work in close quarters to create the beautiful wreaths and greens, the Club’s much anticipated Annual Green Sale is canceled for 2020.
We know how disappointing this is for our customers, who have always looked forward to the sale, and for our members who put their hard work into creating spectacular wreaths, boxwood trees, swags and centerpieces.
But after much discussion, and the unavailability of the Williams Barn, the Club’s Board of Directors made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event.
We want to thank all the wonderful businesses and patrons who supported our Annual Greens Sale in the past and we hope you will return next year to continue to support our efforts, the proceeds of which go toward scholarships for Groton Students. This year the Club awarded scholarships to six students for a total of 13,000.
We also want to thank the media for their strong support, and the many businesses that put up fliers for our sale.
