The Town of Groton currently has an immediate opening on the Nashoba Valley Technical High School District School Committee for an alternate to the Committee. There are two (2) years remaining on this term. The Charge states that the Committee establishes education policies and goals “consistent with the requirements of law and state-wide goals and standards established by the state board of education” and reviews the budget for the district.
Any Groton resident interested in serving on the District School Committee as an Alternative Representative, should fill out a Committee Interest Form which can be found on the Town of Groton’s website at https://www.grotonma.gov/government/boards-and-committees/committee-interest-form/. Please submit an electronic interest form by Friday, May 1, 2020. The Select Board, Town Moderator and Groton Representatives of the Groton Dunstable Regional School Committee will interview all interested candidates at a joint meeting in May.
